well, i tried everything, since i was 15, im 20 now. The ONLY thing that helps is phisoderm. You can buy it a wal-mart for like $5.00. It removes all the make-up and your face just feels clean afterwards. And it not oily. I love it. You gotta try it.
I love Neutrogena. It comes in a box...you can buy it at walmart. It has the face cleanser and it has a day and night face cream. I love it!

and only put it where you need it.

OR:
make a cup of tea with a teabag (NOT peppermint tea - it will burn your face.) use the used teabag and lie it on your breakout area. you can keep reheating it in water. the heat and tea helps a whole lot with swelling and redness. chamomile tea is good for redness. lemon tea is good as a toner-type thing.

My acne is red and bumpy and its sensitive to the touch. I don't get the whiteness to my pimples they just stay red. I've tried everything from presciptions to proactiv I feel like nothing is helping. My face is all dried out from all the stuff i've used. 2. you could try the stuff by l'oreal's men expert range called Pure and Matte anti regreasing moisturiser. that helped mine.
3. also what helped me is johnson's Holiday Skin moisturiser! I know, I know I'm a guy, and it has fake tan but hey it cleared up my skin AND I got a ';beautiful sunkissed tan'; haha!
* a couple of things i would suggest is good od vasoline or an ointment called eurax.it is for dry itchy sensitive skin.i am alergic to perfumed good and have sensitive dry skin.i use this anywhere on my body and it really is good.available from chemist.
Hi, Ther is a chemical peel that you can buy that is pretty easy to use comes with instructions and all. I use it for age spots and it works. There is 2 types one is a TCA peel and the other is a GLYCOLIC peel. The TCA is a deeper peel, Glycolic is what you will find in most acne medications, that is why it burns when you use it. Personally i would suggest the Glycolic peel, you can repeat the process after the first healing. There are sites on the internet that sells this peel, but it is exspensive. I found it on Ebay for 6.95 , You can look at what he has and make a decision on what is best for you, he even shows before and after pictures, and pictures threw the healing process. The serum that he sells, is Vitamin C capsuls. You can also use EMU OIl for healing which is what is recommended by most docters. Hope i helped, Vickie

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!
Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?
However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.
Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.
However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.
If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.
If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?
However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.
Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.
However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.
If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.
If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.
The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

There are some specific methods that can help you to get rid or at least reduce your acne.
Here are some useful methods that were useful for me to treat my acne:
Drink water
Drink a lot of water every day. Try drinking at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.
Sunshine and fresh air
Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in the body - an important vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to your skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so it's very good to take a short walk outside every day.
Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates
Last research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.
Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne
Your bed sheets
Keep the bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of the natural body oils.
Wash your face
Wash your face just one time a day. Don't wash too many times , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.
Anyhow, don't go out and buy those ';acne free in one night'; systems that you can find anywhere online, they just don't work and you will waste hundreds of dollars for nothing.
Why not? Well, because it takes time to cure acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to treat your acne in 24 hours.
If you really want to get rid of your acne there are two recommended ways that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.
Firstly and more important in my opinion and experience, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

It's less convenient because it's a system and others above are just creams/gels. I also take a pill called Doryx which I find convenient and quite effective.

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

While I was pregnant I learned that the most common active ingredients that may be found in topical creams are: benzoyl peroxide, hydrocortisone, salicylic acid, erythromycin, clindamycin, sodium sulfacetamide, tretinoin, adapalene, and azelaic acid. Most of these ingredients have been scientifically proven to be safe.Although, there are some risks associated with some of them as well. You never want to use any product that has sodium sulfacetamide in it. It is said that this chemical is ok in your earlier stages but not in the last trimester.
