It's the oily substance secreted from your sebaceous glands to moisturize your skin and hair. It's courtesy of mother nature and anything you see printed on a product is artificial. If the product says ';akin or similar to natural sebum';, that's something different. But only your body produces the sebum:)
A lot of us with oily skin are going to be happy when we are old because we won't look that much different. Sebum rocks in keeping the wrinkles at bay and keeping your hair very lustrous.
About the closest thing to natural sebum when it comes to oils is jojoba oil and technically the oil is a wax. Check out info on the web because it's great for both skin and hair.What is ''sebum?'' :s?
It's just a technical term for the oil your skin produces.
