What is the best type of acne solution or medicine???

First, depending on how bad the acne is, ask your doctor. If it is normal acne, then there are alot of over the counter products that work great. Try NOT to use a product that contains a lot of alchohol of perfumes, because these can irritate the skin more. The best times to wash your face are in the morning, and before you go to bed. Try to use a soft cloth on your face. Some people say toothpaste works good, but that is jsut a myth, and in fact, it can cause damage to your skin because ofthe acid's in it. I find that Clarisol works great. Also, Oil Of Olay face wash is great because it has a lot of vitamins in it, but that product can be pricy. What is the best type of acne solution or medicine???

Can anyone help with this type of acne?

i am now 28. i've never really had any problems with acne after high school...now i sometimes get acne on my sides, below my armpits. i don't use regular deodorants...i use the natural mineral salts that you roll on. and i don't sweat much either.

should i just go to the dermatologist and get something like clindamycin? are there any other topical meds or remedies that some have had good experience with? Can anyone help with this type of acne?
A common misconception; The acne that one gets on thier face is very different than the acne that you would get on your sides. The formation is different. The best thing to do is make sure that your shirts are loose in the area. If a hair follicle is constricted, it will form a bump that looks like a pimple, but it is actually dissolving the hair inside. Salicylic has shown alot to work well, but to simply get rid of the unsightly bump, instead of clindamycin, use lemon juice or tea tree oil.

Good Luck! Can anyone help with this type of acne?
If you have the oney go to the deratologist or go to a doctor, there are a lot of treatments but there are only some that work!
Acne is due to hormonal changes, bad diet and unhealthy skin care habits. Sometimes, dandruff in the hair can also cause acne. Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Drink a lot of water regularly to flush out toxins. Avoid deep fried snacks. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html...

How do I treat this type of acne/acne scar?

Anyway I hope this helps!

Diana xxxHow do I treat this type of acne/acne scar?
dont touch it or pinch it cuz it makes it worse nd stays there that will eventually turn into a scar. so jus put alchol on it nd giv it time in the meanwhile, cover it with high shirts
I think my cousin used to have that. Eventually as he got older it went away. My advice is to go see a dermatologist and stop touching it. Also shower daily.

What Type of Acne Would This Be?

I usually have 2-4 active pimples on my whole face at the most. I used to have about 10 when I was 14-18 but now I'm turning 21 it has gone down a lot. But anyways, is this mild acne or what type would this be? Thanks! What Type of Acne Would This Be?
The actual root cause of acne is unknown. But what is know is that it is a traumatic skin disease which is caused when the pores (also known as follicles) get blocked and the oil (also known as sebum) cannot flow naturally .The body does this in order to get oil eliminated from the skin.

You need to wash your face at least twice daily. There are some more acne tips at: http://www.theknowguide.com/acne-2.htmlWhat Type of Acne Would This Be?
try this...its pimples...

Dr. Murad鈥檚 Acne Complex

All over the world so much research has been done to curb acne because it makes beautiful faces ugly and full of black prominent spots. Very many researches have been conducted and a few have tasted success. One of them is Acne Complex.

Before getting into the details of Acne Complex, we need to know more about acne.

Acne is a skin disorder that usually happens when a person is in the teens. During that particular period of life, in both male and female bodies, Androgen, a male sex hormone, increases. This increase of Androgen does not necessarily happen in everybodys body. But in whosever鈥檚 body this increase happens, it causes overproduction of sebum and keratin. This results in clogged pores of the skin and infection. This is called acne. In the case of acne the hormones can create acne beyond teenage years. Especially among women this trend is seen.

Dr. Murad鈥檚 Acne Complex says that 3 simple steps, 2 times a day can reduce and clear your skin in 4 weeks. Seeing the popularity of Acne Complex one can understand that Acne Complex is certainly effective.

In the Acne Complex kit there are 3 items. A Clarifying Cleanser, an Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel and a Skin Perfecting Lotion. The direction of use is given in the Acne Complex kit. Otherwise you can learn it on the website of Acne Complex. You can even order Acne Complex from their website too.
I'd say mild acne. . .heavy acne would be what I got. . .all scattered on my face EVERYONE (even places you wouldn't believe)
thats not severe, I used to have a lot, that caused pain. That was about 3 months ago...now I got about only one.Just wash your face, worked for me.
I am 21 and never had acne as a teen. Since becoming an adult I have painful cystic acne around my face, mostly the jaw line and sometimes in my hair line. It is CRAP! It hurts so bad! Anyway this is called adult acne which is specifically around the face and jawline instead of being on cheeks, forehead, and nose. If your acne is more around your face now that you are older you may have the same.
Uhhh..........err............ummm Proactiv I dont..........really.............know
mild.

quite mild actually.
Type: Really, Really bad.....use Proactive it really works, it did for me. See my Pic.
I would say your get pimples due to certain levels of your horomones. The older you get, you will find the less they appear.

Don't pick at this stuff. You sound like you're pinching yourself black and blue. Only squeeze if there's obvious white and then put some Neosporin or other topical anti-biotic on it for about an hour while your capillaries re-route. Is your skin oily or dry? Don't wash with a harsh soap! Tons of my friends have terrible skin and acne scars from years of washing with harsh soap or using rubbing alcohol. You might as well use WD-40. Yuck! Above all, remember that you need time to heal.

What type of acne is this?

I get these bumps, that doesnt come to a complete head and after squeezing them really hard, clear liquid comes out, but thats all. its very sore and tender.... and it seems as though it affects many pores next to eachother at the same time instead of just one.

Be careful about those. That kind of acne can lead to permanent scarring. My daughter gets those on her cheeks and she already has a few scars. She's been under the treatment of a dermatologist so her outbreaks are now less frequent and not as severe.

well, i tried everything, since i was 15, im 20 now. The ONLY thing that helps is phisoderm. You can buy it a wal-mart for like $5.00. It removes all the make-up and your face just feels clean afterwards. And it not oily. I love it. You gotta try it.

The medicated acne treatment line from bee-luscious cosmetics and skincare products is truly amazing, my two daughters had horrible acne and nothing helped, in fact everything made it worse and more red and irritated until I tried these products, also the supplement royal jelly fresh taken once a day will stimulate healthy skin tissue growth, the jar seems expensive but it really is not and the results are there its about 90.00 for a 5-6 month supply so its like 1.60 per day its really worth it and the skincare line is a blue ribbon across the board, its on beeroyalproducts.com

Does any one have a good type of acne medicine? Dont say proactive it stinks and it really hurts my skin badly

I am 12 and I have acne prone skin. It is almost always oily no matter how much I wash it. Most acne medicines seem to break it out even more and sometimes burns or makes me red.Does any one have a good type of acne medicine? Dont say proactive it stinks and it really hurts my skin badly
it smells kind of bad, but it works wonders - tea tree oil.

it's not too expensive ($5 for a bottle that lasts over a year)

DILUTE THIS WITH TWO OR THREE DROPS OF WATER!

and only put it where you need it.

don't like, wash your whole face with it or anything lol.

    OR:

make a cup of tea with a teabag (NOT peppermint tea - it will burn your face.) use the used teabag and lie it on your breakout area. you can keep reheating it in water. the heat and tea helps a whole lot with swelling and redness. chamomile tea is good for redness. lemon tea is good as a toner-type thing.

    hope i helped.

    and don't worry!

i know i say that, and i totally freak out when i break out too, but seriously

every teenager or preteen breaks out.

    EVERYONE.

    even adults, too.

so don't worry - people are too worried about their own breakouts to worry about yours!

    good luck!

=)Does any one have a good type of acne medicine? Dont say proactive it stinks and it really hurts my skin badly
i've used tazorac for about three years now, and it works miracles!!
    I use clearasil.

Proactive screws my skin up as well.

I'm also on doxycycline which you can get from your doctor.
Hai friends Do you have Pimples, Acne, Oily Skin, Dry skin and Scar on the Face, If your answer is YES then DON'T WORRY. So go look in to this site and be used to it This site is very very use full for teens and there problems.
AcneFree better and cheaper than ProActive.
I've been using Neutrogena cleansers all my life.

Here's the foamer I'm currently using:

    http://www.epinions.com/reviews/Neutrogena_Fresh_Foaming_Cleanser

    They're available at most drugstores.

The only thing you might want to watch out for is, many people say Neutrogena is very strong, so if you have sensitive skin, you might want to try something gentler.

If you're okay with pricier items, I'd recommend this Lancome Mousse Cleaner

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P54479%26amp;categoryId=S15100%26amp;shouldPaginate=true

My friend uses this, and it works wonders. It's a tad pricier, at $27

If oiliness is a problem alongside acne, you might want to try light mousse foundation to cover up oiler areas. (Like your T-zone) However, be careful not to use too much... You ARE 12. Don't ruin that youthful skin! ;)

This is a good mousse foundation:

  • Does anyone know the best treatment for my type of acne what is a chemical peel?

My acne is red and bumpy and its sensitive to the touch. I don't get the whiteness to my pimples they just stay red. I've tried everything from presciptions to proactiv I feel like nothing is helping. My face is all dried out from all the stuff i've used. I read on another question someone suggested a chemical peel or laser treatment for scars can you get it done for acne too?

My acne is not that Rosola?? the patcy redness, my acne is big red pimplesDoes anyone know the best treatment for my type of acne what is a chemical peel?
What I used were dove facewipes and my spots completely went. I have smooth skin and whenever I didn't use them for one day, i'd get spots that day and they'd go when I next used them.Does anyone know the best treatment for my type of acne what is a chemical peel?
    three (possible) solutions:

    1. do not eat crisps. they do not help at all.

    2. you could try the stuff by l'oreal's men expert range called Pure and Matte anti regreasing moisturiser. that helped mine.

    3. also what helped me is johnson's Holiday Skin moisturiser! I know, I know I'm a guy, and it has fake tan but hey it cleared up my skin AND I got a ';beautiful sunkissed tan'; haha!
    * a couple of things i would suggest is good od vasoline or an ointment called eurax.it is for dry itchy sensitive skin.i am alergic to perfumed good and have sensitive dry skin.i use this anywhere on my body and it really is good.available from chemist.
Hi, Ther is a chemical peel that you can buy that is pretty easy to use comes with instructions and all. I use it for age spots and it works. There is 2 types one is a TCA peel and the other is a GLYCOLIC peel. The TCA is a deeper peel, Glycolic is what you will find in most acne medications, that is why it burns when you use it. Personally i would suggest the Glycolic peel, you can repeat the process after the first healing. There are sites on the internet that sells this peel, but it is exspensive. I found it on Ebay for 6.95 , You can look at what he has and make a decision on what is best for you, he even shows before and after pictures, and pictures threw the healing process. The serum that he sells, is Vitamin C capsuls. You can also use EMU OIl for healing which is what is recommended by most docters. Hope i helped, Vickie
You should go to the doctor. I once had a antibiotic called oxytetracycline that helped very much when i had raised red spots.

What type of acne does the Zeno work on?

I get red pimples on my face.. a white head usually forms within a day or two after they appear. Would zeno work for me?What type of acne does the Zeno work on?

Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

    * Mineral Oil, Paraffin %26amp; Petrolatum – Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer %26amp; Disruptive of hormonal activity. By the way, when there’s an oil spill in the ocean, don’t they rush to clean it up – fast? Why put that stuff on your skin?

    * Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

    * Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

    * Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, and may inhibit skin cell growth or cause skin irritation.

    * Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

    * Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived

    * Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

    * Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and you can substitute virgin/extra virgin olive oil or a natural coconut oil to moisturize in the meantime until you find a better, natural alternative!!! Tell ALL your friends and family!!!

Acne forms when sebum (skin oil) and bacteria become trapped in follicles in the skin. Blemishes appear when these oils prevent the skin from naturally shedding which may be in the form of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples or cysts. Severe cases of acne will often leave indentations or scars on the skin.

Does anyone have any advice on the best type of acne treatment?

For years, I have been dealing with moderate acne, but lately, it's been more than moderate and I can't seem to calm it down at all. It seems to be getting worse. I've had chemical peels in the past and they don't work too well for me. I know there are no quick fixes, but I'm going to a wedding in a month and I want my skin clearer by then. Can anyone help?Does anyone have any advice on the best type of acne treatment?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.Does anyone have any advice on the best type of acne treatment?
I could finally find a solution for this problem, read this blog before taking any action

    http://acneargh.wordpress.com/

Thanks to this blog, it helped me a lot to find the best method.

    Hope this helps
    me 2!!

i use proactive and i think it is pretty amazing.
I had the same problem. There is a lot of junk out there - but I found this stuff that got rid of my

acne in 3 days..... Here is the review I found on it..

    webreviewpanel.com/index.php?id=75
Clean%26amp;Clear is in my opinion one of the best brands for acne treatment - just have a look - it really worked for me.
DO NOT USE PROACTIV. I used it and it made my skin really shiny and flakey and once I stopped using it, it messed up my skin worse then ever.

DON'T GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST. DON'T USE ANY ACNE CREAMS. USE PERFECT SKIN BY GENUINE HEALTH. you can get it from a health food store or vitamin store. it's only about 22$ and it lasts you a month. IT WORKS. I used to have the worst acne ever. I tried everything. Some days I didn't even want to leave my house. I started using Perfect Skin (which contains things that are naturally good for your skin like fish oil, vitamin e, zinc, green tea extract ect.) for almost a year now, and my acne has been gone for months!

You have to use it consistantly. YOU CAN NOT MISS A SINGLE DAY. It will take about 2 months til it actually makes a difference which seems long, but it IS worth it. I never get pimples anymore.

these things are also good for your overall health too so don't worry about the time it takes.

don't use any acne creams or cleansers. Use things with little ingredients. Try something that's organic and fragrance/dye free. You can also use Dove sensative lotion (dye/fragrance free) and Olay cleanser with aloe (also dye and fragrance free). That's what I use. Trust me, it has little to do with creams and cleansers. It's what your body is like on the inside and adding things like fragrance and dye will only make it worse.

    I hope this helped.

What is the best type of acne and blackhead product on the market?

proactiveWhat is the best type of acne and blackhead product on the market?
I've tried just about every over the counter acne product on the market and had about the same results with each (not great). Over the counter meds typically have one of two active ingredients: salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. (Proactiv's main ingredient is also benzoyl peroxide.) There are varying concentrations of each. Check the label of what you're currently using and either switch active ingredients or go to a higher concentration.

If nothing from the drug store is working, make an appointment with a dermatologist. She/he can recommend prescription products that have different ingredients. I personally have done very well with Retin-A Micro and Clinda-Gel, but there are several other products available. What is the best type of acne and blackhead product on the market?
clinique skin care line, works wonders. go see a representative
Go to a CLARINS skin care consultant.

Believe me, the products are miracle workers, and then drop into a chemist and order IMEDEEN marine tablets.

Cl;arins works on the outside- in, while Imedeen works on the inside- out. You'll be amazed at the difference in 2-3 months time, then Clarins will move you onto the next product suitable for your skin type, and don't quibble at the cost!! Its worth it!! OR...you can splash around in other products which may be cheaper, but you'll be waiting and waiting for the satisfaction you could have had, had you moved fast onto Clarins and the Imedeen.
    Proactive works!!!
    Ritten A Micro, trust me!
All of that stuff can cost you a small fortune! I have always had a problem with blackheads on my nose and chin. I have been using Neutrogena Blackhead eliminating scrub (Ithink that's what it's called) and I really like it. I know they have it at Walmart and Target. I hope this helps.
I am not so sure that you can put the ';best'; label on any one acne product. What works for one person will not work for the next. It can be a frustrating trial and error process unfortunately. Check out the list of natural remedies linked below. Maybe there is something there you have not tried.

What is the best Type of Acne care you have used?

Besides Proactive because i had like no acne forever when i used it and then my skin became immune to it.

HELP!! :(What is the best Type of Acne care you have used?
Mine was Tazorac and Benzaclin, which I used with each other.

I may have gotten the names wrong.

Anyways, those aren't over the counter. They're prescription, but they got acne off my face so quickly, I was actually laughing.

What type of acne product should I use?

I don't have very bad acne, just the occasional big whitehead and small red bump kind of pimples on my nose and usually my nose and forehead get pretty shiny. My worst spot is on my nose I hardly ever get pimples anywhere else. I'm using the Neutrogena Advanced Acne system right now, but I'm worried it will dry out my face. I want something that will make my skin not only acne free, but look good too. Any help is appreciated, thanks :)What type of acne product should I use?
Proactive dries out your face, then mosturizes it out so its even, and perfect. Give it a try. I would suggest the mask for you, its for emergencies, so when you need it you jsut use it ;)What type of acne product should I use?
The cause for pimples are many and not only adolescence as

popularly believed. Chronic constipation is one major cause,

the food we eat plays a very important role. You will have

to cut down the fried food, chocolates, cheese and aerated

drinks. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and green vegetables with

a lot of water. Instead of washing the face with soap, use

orange peel powder. Dry Orange peels in the shade for 4-5

days. Powder finely and store. Wash your face with this 2-3

times a day. It clears the face and feels very refreshing.

Try the wave. It works very well just cleansing your pores. If you are expieriencing chin breakouts it's probably from a whitening toothpaste you use, therefore you should switch. I don't really know of any acne tests on the interneet, but you should try proactiv. They have a product on television that they fit to your own type of skin.Hope this helps.

BUY THIS STUFF CALLED Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. IT WORKS MIRACLES! just spread it all over your face and leave it on for about 5 minute, then wash it off. the next day your skin will have improved. if you have really bad acne, use it every other day, until your skin is clear. i used this when i used to have bad acne, and now i use it if i have a pimple that about to come up. you can buy it anywhere. i got mine at walmart for $6. but you can probably get it at walgreens, safeway, etc. trust me!What do you recemend for my type of acne?
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It's been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up ';Cee En's Acne Solution'; or ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160

It's expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

    I hope this helps. =)

Well I have a lot of blackheads on my face and they really bother me so wat should I buy that will clear them up. I also have pimples so wat do I use for the both of them HELP How do i get rid of pimples blackheads whites heads and any type of acne on your face?
I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

MichelleHow do i get rid of pimples blackheads whites heads and any type of acne on your face?
Do you seriously want to go from one product to the next just hoping this will be the one that finally works? This safe, natural treatment gets rid of them all permanently.- It's how I rid myself of all spots, pimples and other conditions and it gave me a virtually flawless skin. Use an essential oil - there are some that have been used professionally by doctors, skin specialists.to successfully treat and cure acne. They do not clog pores, do not cause breakouts and neutralize oily skin (you can confirm with a Google search). Lavender, clove and grape are excellent. Massage very thoroughly 2 times a day for 15 minutes and the massaging friction forces a new, clearer skin to emerge. Day by day skin will become clearer and the spots will simply fade away. First my blackheads went then the pimples then the rough skin and eventually all the spot scars . The massage is best done with a forward and back motion - not a circular one - using finger tips and front and sides of fingers depending where on face you massage. Its best to make it quite vigorous for the quickest results. You can safely do that by flexing skin and that will prevent any skin pulling or stretching. See my many other answers for more info, comments from happy users..

Try it you will be happy that you did.

If your face wash is a prescription then it is probably not safe. OTC acne medications are safe during pregnancy. I used a salicylic acid face wash and my doctor said it is safe. He did tell me the unsafe acne medication, but I don't remember it because I had never heard of it. I am pretty sure that benzoyl peroxide is safe. I did read that it is unknown if benzoyl peroxide is safe during pregnancy because they have not done any studies to show that it links to birth defects and other problems.

I have really oily skin, but it's also sensitive and dries easily. I just forgot which is for what. Does anyone know which I should use? What's the best type of acne treatment for my skin type?
Face washes can be quite drying. You may need to use a creamy type of wash. For your acne, your dermatologist can prescribe Tretinoin/Tretinoid. This is a topical derivative of Vitamin A and it's effective at diminishing and erasing dark spots/scars. It鈥檚 the best product against acne. Apply is at night and it will control the growth of new acne. You will see improvements within 3-4 days. It鈥檚 a fraction of that other product advertised on the TV (you know the one I鈥檓 talking about).

U could try lots of over the counter stuff but sometimes using the scrub pads will irritate the skin and then after washing, u need to close the pores.

The simplest thing to use which works for the majority of acne is ProActive. A good friend children had terrible, some even scaring ... it was the best $29.95 she spent. In two wks time the kids skin was noticeably improved and few months they didn't have any acne. It's pretty amazing stuff and simple routine that 6th grader could use.

Personally, I think that the key to good skin is the right skin care line. Proactiv is good for serious acne, but at that point you are battling a problem by drying out your skin.

Try Clinique products. They'll give you a face type (at a counter in the mall or online) and they'll provide a range of products specifically geared for your face for the perfect balance. They also have acne stuff to fight the outbreaks, but you'll have a lot less of them once your face is properly taken care of.

Their acne products are great and they help me with my little breakouts from time to time, but I have so little breakouts now that I've gotten my face straight.

Well it may not be best for you to use that kind of acne treatment. Here is why: A blackhead is different from a pimple and from a whitehead.

In order to get rid of your kind of acne follow these steps:

    1. Wash your face everyday at least 2 times with a mild facial cleanser. Make sure it contains salicylic acid so that it can exfoliate your skin but at the same time prevent it from drying out.

    2. Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry. (DO NOT WIPE) you want to allow a little moisture to remain in your skin.

    3. Add a moisturizer to your skin.

    4. Drink a lot of water everyday as this will help to flush out toxins from your system and also help to hydrate your skin.

    5. Take a multivitamin daily. This will help to build your immune system so that you can fight of infections.

    6. To get rid of your pimples (acne) simply get a small amount of castor oil and massage it in the affected area with your fingertips just before bed. Rinse in the morning with some warm water.

These tips should help you to reduce your acne.

What product would you recommend me for my type of acne?

Whenever i wash my face with any kind of soap my face stays very dry for a couple of hours and afterwords it begins to get oily. What product would you recommend me for my type of acne?
I had the same problem and was told by a dermatologist that this is not acne, it is irritation. You wash your face probably with cleansers for oily/acneic skin type, you drying out your skin and after couple of hours your skin trying to compensate natural oil that was stripped off when you washed your face.

Cleanse face only twice a day with mild cleanser (cleanser for face). Do not use soap as it dries your face.

Get Oil of Olay Cleansing Towlettes (Wall-Mart around $5.00 month supply)

Use oil-free moisturizer Oil of Olay Regenerist Enhancing Lotion ( under $20.00 in Wall-Mart).

Try and you'll see difference skin in instance (couple of days). What product would you recommend me for my type of acne?
yes oil of olay products work wonders i love it.
neutrogena.....aveeno products...and use a acne wash..toner...and a acne products to reduce acne...drink alot of water...try to stay away from soda..becuz soda eats the nutrients in your body and causes acne on your skin...i would recommend u to exercise becuz sweating helps to open your pores and get rid of excess residue from your skin. avoid putting any oils or moisturizers on your skin..if u have oily skin.

What is the best way to get rid of acne or forming acne? Any type of acne cream or lotion to put on your face?

Any suggestions on what I should try to get rid of my acne? (some is forming too)What is the best way to get rid of acne or forming acne? Any type of acne cream or lotion to put on your face?
    Hello

There are some specific methods that can help you to get rid or at least reduce your acne.

Here are some useful methods that were useful for me to treat my acne:

    Drink water

Drink a lot of water every day. Try drinking at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.

    Sunshine and fresh air

Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in the body - an important vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to your skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so it's very good to take a short walk outside every day.

Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates

Last research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.

Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne

    Your bed sheets

Keep the bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of the natural body oils.

    Wash your face

Wash your face just one time a day. Don't wash too many times , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.

Anyhow, don't go out and buy those ';acne free in one night'; systems that you can find anywhere online, they just don't work and you will waste hundreds of dollars for nothing.

Why not? Well, because it takes time to cure acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to treat your acne in 24 hours.

If you really want to get rid of your acne there are two recommended ways that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important in my opinion and experience, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few decent Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their guides they share their great knowledge with other acne sufferers. In any case, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can learn about one of the best guides that helped many people to treat their acne naturally in this helpful article:

    http://www.squidoo.com/Acne-Free-In-3-Da鈥?/a>

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.

There are hundreds of acne skin care products available in the market right now and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.

When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:

ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

Don't give up, acne is something that can be cure, good luck...What is the best way to get rid of acne or forming acne? Any type of acne cream or lotion to put on your face?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

Well good luck and best wishes.
I tried many over-the-counter medicines from pharmacy's over the years I've had mild acne but the only real solution I found was talking to my physician about it. She put me on a prescription acne treatment in the form of face pads called Clindamycin Phosphate, a topical solution. This has worked very well for me and has kept my breakouts to a bare minimum. Hope this helps.
Wash regular with a mild, none perfumed soap. You must rinse thoroughly with cold water after washing.

Don't over wash though because this can lead to skin dehydration.

If you are female try not to wear heavy make up and water resistant types. Instead try a hypoallergenic type.

Stay away from fatty, spicy and junk foods
    Water is the key seriously

drink about 5-6 bottles of water a day

ive notice a big difference by doing that...but some days i drink like a bottle of water which then im gonna break out cause shaving, drinking Mountain Dew Voltage %26amp; Arizona is causing me to break out...

so i have to drink more and more to flush it out of my system...yesterday i drank 6 bottles of water and woke up today and most of the acne is gone (and going to only drink alot of water now)

i use Pro Activ Refining Mask (i use it every night and wash it off in the monring)...i buy it off amazon for $17..dont know if it really helps

and my face is very oily...i could wash it 1 min then the next it be oily again
I used to have horrible acne I can't even tell you how bad it was. I found www.StopMyAcne.Info and bought it it seriously cured my acne.

Like seriouslyits gone . I don't even have one pimple

After using this I can't believe it's only cheap and after you use it you won't either hahaThe trips I took to the dermatologist cost me WAY more than that lol and the CRAP they gave me just made my acne worse~!!!!! uhggg... lol

Oh and it also guarantees it will cure your acne in 3 days or your money back.

    Anyway I hope this helps!

  • Is accutane the best type of acne medication? Are the generic brands like sotret not work as well?

I've been breaking out for 1 1/2 years now and my dermatologist recommended almost everything to me and it only made my skin worse i think. now i have acne scars and my skin is fair and it makes the blemishes much more noticeable. Finally my dermatologist recommended accutane for me, but my pharmacy didnt have it and gave me sotret (a generic brand) instead. Does it not work as well as accutane? Is accutane the best type of acne medication? Are the generic brands like sotret not work as well?
Generics, like Sotret, are the same as Accutane. They are the same drug, Isotretinoin, but the actual ';Accutane'; was the original drug, so it costs a LOT more.

The drug company that developed Accutane was allowed to produce it exclusively for a given number of years, and then other drug companies were allowed to distribute it as well. This allows it to be sold at a much lower price.

Unless the doctor checks the ';DAW'; box (dispense as written), the pharmacy may substitute a generic drug. Regardless, the pharmacy cannot give you a drug that is chemically different than what is written on the prescription slip.

The bottom line? Same drug, better price. :]Is accutane the best type of acne medication? Are the generic brands like sotret not work as well?
accutane is the ONLY medication that gets rid of acne.

    nothing else CURES it.

Which is better proactive or another type of acne cream? and does proactive work at all?

I need a solution for my acne problem. Does anybody have any ideas?Which is better proactive or another type of acne cream? and does proactive work at all?
    it's different for everyone.

    It didn't work for me.

    -dermotoligist (worked for me)

-un scented soapWhich is better proactive or another type of acne cream? and does proactive work at all?
You should try the Unblemish regimen from Rodan + Fields. I use the whole regimen and I LOVE IT! All of my acne has left the building!! The wash is different from other washes because the active ingrediant is sulfur. The sulfur disolves the dirt in your pores. The regimen is meant to treat and prevent so that you will not have future breakouts. The products are amazing and are totally worth the money!!! I am a living testimonial of the product. Check them out at rodanandfields.com and if you use this code : reprf10395 you will get free shipping and save 10% on your order. That is what I do anyway. Good Luck.
Well, Benzaclin cream works really well although after I've used it for about 3 months, my skin is getting pretty dry and irritated. It is extremely effective and it's worth a bit of dry skin. When you use this product, it's not necessary to wash your face as frequently and a less-intense cleanser (a bar of soap) is best. This also saves money. =]

I was also prescribed Differin gel. I had to stop using it because of the burning, redness and dryness even though I don't have sensitive skin. What I did hear from others was very positive.

My dermatologist also told me about Accutane (pill) which is a very strong medication that reduces oil production. It has many side-effects and some were not worth it in my opinion.

And about Proactive, as others have mentioned, is effective at first but does sometimes come back if you discontinue use. I have used some of my friend's before and I wasn't impressed. It's less convenient because it's a system and others above are just creams/gels. I also take a pill called Doryx which I find convenient and quite effective.

Good luck, I know it can be embarrassing. I hope that helped. =]
OK proactive works for just a moment. The issue is that as soon as your skin clears up it comes back even worse. Try the Purifying products from www.redqueencosmetics.com

These products work and are formulated by Dermatologist/Plastic Surgeons. Keeping yourself on a skin care regimen will ensure your skin to stay free from any acne.

What type of acne treatment is the best?

I have been breaking out lately and I've tried using Proactive but it doesn't help get rid of my acne. What is a good product to use? What type of acne treatment is the best?
    Hi

There are many acne skin care products available in the market in these days.

Some of them are meant for only adults and some for the teenagers. It is necessary to choose the right product you are in need of.

The products available in the market might be great solution for some people and some might not even suit them nor produce any positive outcome. You could really find some marvelous creams, lotions, moisturizers and facial scrubs that could help you in many ways by keeping you beautiful and young too.

But sometimes you might get confused to select and use the right product for your skin.

Well as a fact, you should always remember to wipe off your pimples and acne related problems forever but have you ever thought that these make up items would surely produce good results?

If you really wants to be good looking and beautiful, then you should always choose an acne skin product. It not just keeps your skin free from the pimples and scrubs but it also generates your skin to look good, beautiful and as young as you really want to be. You can easily get the acne skin product from the nearby chemist or from online.

However, before trying out with some acne skin product, you should try utilize the daily use home products. It is very important to wash your face twice a day. Wash it very firmly and gently. It should not squeeze your pimples and also cause any rashes on your skin.

Do not use hot water, because hot water generally causes rashes and some times irritates the skin and for some people it also causes burning. You should use antibacterial or even tea tree oil for your skin in order to keep them from infection and also from burning.

It is also necessary to keep your hairs neat and clean and well washed by shampoos. Some times dirt and other particles may get trapped along your hairs. People with long hair should always be very cautious about washing their hairs regularly.

Also recommended is to keep away your hair from your face in order to reduce the formation of pimples.

You should also keep on a healthy diet, healthydiet can help you a lot when trying to get rid of you acne.

I did all these things and also used acne skin care system that called clearpores. This system helped me to get rid of my acne after I tried other products that didn't help me at all and in my opinion it's one of the best and most affordable systems if you want to get rid of your acne and have beautiful skin again. They also give their customers 6 months full money back guarantee for all their products.

You can find more information on their different products and specific skin type systems here:

Clean and clear is the best! I tried Proactive, Clearasil, Clinique, and others. But the only one that worked was clean and clear. They have a new product out that I use. It's called ';Clean and Clear advantage 3-in-1 foaming acne wash';. It's $5.00 at target. It's in an 8 fl. oz. purple bottle. All you do is put a little dot on your finger and rub it away. I use it when I get up and before I go to bed. Please take my advice. If you try it you'll like it. Just spend five bucks, and your face will be clear in no time. Hope everything works out for you.

    Oxygen treatments work wonders.

There are two ways to deliver oxygen to your face. The first is an oxygen facial.

Oxygen calms inflammation, treats acne, kills bacteria, drives antioxidants and vitamins into the skin, and make your skin younger looking by providing oxygen to the skin cells.
I am a Monavie distributor and I use the Monavie active gel on my face to clear up my acne. It works better for me than anything I ever used from the doctor and it also does not have the side effects that most medications give you. The juice also clears up the skin, but that is around $35 a bottle. If you just use the gel for the face, a packet lasts about a month and I sell them for $3 a packet. If you are interested, you can send me an email at jawhite1988@aol.com for more information.

    Hey Briana,

The problem of acne is usually faced by almost everybody once in a lifetime. It is a problem which you need to deal with seriously. There are a lot of treatments available in the market today. But you want to make sure you make the right decision

Most products promise you results from the acne treatments, and trust me I鈥檝e gone through a few and have only noticed true results with Acnezine. Acnezine treats your condition from the inside. This feature made it the most desirable acne treatment for me.

Adults and teenagers keep often search endlessly for the right acne treatment, so don鈥檛 make the same mistake. You might have already come across a lot of these treatments, a number of capsules, creams and lotions.

But you may have finally found what you have been looking for. First of all the Acnezine detoxifies the body and then cleans it from inside. It helps the body to remove all the problematic elements that actually causes the problem. It also removes the toxins from the body.

The best part about Acnezine acne treatment is that they have little to no side effects compared to chemical based acne products. This means you can take them long term without any harmful side effects since it is made from all natural ingredients.

If you feel you need more information you can follow the link below, they are currently running a free trial offer I believe.

Hope this all helps you as much as it did me!
i've been using this stuff called acnefree from university medical. my skin has improved but i still get small breakouts here and there. since everyone has different skin, acnefree may work even better for you. it''s worth a try :)

oh and i haven't had any dry or flaking skin like other acne systems can cause. just make sure you follow up with a moisturizer.

What type of acne medications can you use when pregnant?

I've been using Noxema (face wash %26amp; acne pads) because that's what i've always used, but my mother says i'm not suppose to use any kind of acne medication, just use soap and water while i'm pregnant. Is she right? Or is noxema safe to use? What type of acne medications can you use when pregnant?
You should always talk to your doctor before using any types of creams or pills for acne while you are pregnant. While I was pregnant I learned that the most common active ingredients that may be found in topical creams are: benzoyl peroxide, hydrocortisone, salicylic acid, erythromycin, clindamycin, sodium sulfacetamide, tretinoin, adapalene, and azelaic acid. Most of these ingredients have been scientifically proven to be safe.Although, there are some risks associated with some of them as well. You never want to use any product that has sodium sulfacetamide in it. It is said that this chemical is ok in your earlier stages but not in the last trimester. In my opinion if it is not good in the end then I don't want to use it at all. I hope this was helpful, but just remember always consult your doctor first!!! The babies health is most important. What type of acne medications can you use when pregnant?
Noxema is not an acne medication, it's a cleanser and cleansers are safe while pregnant. They say you should avoid salicylic acid while pregnant, but to me, what you put on your face isn't likely to travel to your uterus in any large amount.

I use Aveda Outer Peace acne line and I love it. I used salicylic acid with my first occasionally and everything was fine. Just don't lather it onto your belly or eat it.

And contrary to what others have said, acne is very common during pregnancy. Trust me! I had it with both of my pregnancies, especially on my back and chest.
Noxema is safe to use, but honestly I think it's more of an irritant anyway than just using soap and water. I've used Olay face wash and it worked well. I definitely wouldn't use Accutane (prescription medication) as it's category X for pregnancy.

You could just deal with it - and sometimes women notice once they're pregnant their skin clears up.

Do a google search of Paula Begoun's website on cosmetics and you'll find some better products that might not irritate your skin. As long as they're not prescription they should be safe (unless the label says otherwise, I guess.)
Okay, so I have been reading the other posts to your question and some of them have been saying that your not pregnant if you have acne. Sooooo NOT true, my cousin had perfectly clear skin before being pregnant. While being pregnant she got horrible acne. I think everyones body responds differently to pregnancy. So I would just check with your doctor.
The best course of action is to contact your doctor and they will be able to provide you with expert medical opinion. There are many medications that are safe during pregnancy, but if yours isn't one of them your doctor might be able to prescribe an alternative that is safe and will do the same job.

    Good luck!
usually when you are pregnant, you will have the clearest skin in your whole life. you shouldn't need anything at all. i didn't wash my face the whole time i was pregnant and i used to have severe acne. think of it this way...would you put noxema on your baby?? would you put soap on your baby?? there ya go...check with your pharmasist if you still have concerns...or your doctor
I was told that once too but I spoke to my doctor about it the other day and he said it's fine to use them.
I think your mom is right
Well i'm thinking if you still have acne you shouldn't be pregnant.
